Academics

Southeastern offers all levels of higher education including undergraduate, graduate and advanced degrees as well as a variety of certificate programs. There are some specifically geared towards women desiring to become better equipped to minister to and disciple other women.

The College at Southeastern offers a variety of undergraduate degrees designed to prepare students to serve the church and fulfill the great commission in any vocation to which God has called them. The BA at Southeastern consists of a core curriculum which includes vital training in Biblical Studies, Christian Worldview, World History, Theology and English. In addition to their selected major, all students complete a minor in Christian Studies with the option of adding a second minor in their area of interest. The graduate programs at Southeastern are master’s level programs that require a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. The master’s programs consist of the Master of Arts and the Master of Divinity. The student whose undergraduate degree features a strong liberal arts component should be well-prepared for the graduate programs at Southeastern. Each degree is designed to prepare pastors, leaders, missionaries, and other Christian workers for a life of effective kingdom service. For more information about graduate degrees, click here.

The advanced degree programs at Southeastern consist of the Master of Theology (Th.M.), Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.), Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). Each of the Advanced Degree Programs equips the student to perform at the highest level for the purposes of leadership, teaching and/or ministerial service. These programs combine academic excellence and experiential learning while being mentored under faculty to integrate theology and practice. For more information about advanced degrees, click here.

The Biblical Women’s Institute (BWI) is a certificate program designed for women who are preparing for Christian service in their homes, in the local church or in other ministry settings. These non-degree programs are comprised of a variety of courses that are both practical and personally enriching. There are no prerequisites to enter the program, and all women are invited to enroll.
